  • What is my IP - You may need to know your WAN IP address at time.  If you are using a router this may get difficult.  Visit this site and it will tell you what IP address your network is broadcasting.

  2. Privacy policies are displayed on websites to ensure viewers that there information will not be used maliciously. 
  3. Local used in this sense refers to the issue only affecting you or your ISP.  Disabling the firewall may resolve some issues.  Your Internet technical support representative should be able to assist n resolving most local issues. 
  4. ISP is short for Internet service provider.  They control things like the DNS which could cause issues to a select number of viewers.
